The Gruffalo Spotter’s Trail at Delamere Forest
From 1st April, there will be some exciting new characters hiding out in the deep dark woods at Delamere … We’ve loved the various Julia Donaldson-themed trails at Delamere over the past couple of years, so this plus my children’s current obsession with Pokemon Go means that we’re very excited about the latest Gruffalo trail, this time with its own augmented reality app.
Download the Gruffalo Spotter app at home, then follow clues along the trail to find the footprint marker posts; when you point the app at the posts, characters including Mouse, Snake and the Gruffalo himself will magically appear!
The trail is about 1.8 miles long and is aimed at younger children, though the whole family can enjoy looking for clues and finding the markers.
The trail itself is completely free, but there’s a charge for parking if you come by car, and you can also buy an optional Gruffalo Activity Kit for £3 which includes an evidence collection bag, five fact and activity cards, stickers of the Gruffalo characters, a special magnifying glass, ruler and a pencil.
The Gruffalo Spotter’s Trail is at Delamere Forest, Northwich CW8 2JD from 1st April. Click here for more information.
